Stylish, compact and refined, the Quick Eagle Horizontal Windlass is the perfect choice for vessels with limited deck space, with the gearbox mounted in the housing above deck and the motor mounted vertically through the deck.
The bronze chain gypsy can be released electrically or manually with the spare handle provided, simply insert the handle into the side of the gypsy and loosen the clutch counter clockwise. When enough chain is paid out, simply re-tighten the clutch.
The side mounted rope drum can also be used independently of the gypsy by loosening the clutch counter clockwise thus disengaging the gypsy from the shaft. (making sure that the anchor is secured in the bow roller first to stop it lowering accidently) The rope drum can then be used to handle mooring lines and other ropes.
