Remember, before purchase, if in any doubt about size, colour or suitability of a product, you can email us with any queries about all of our products. Our staff have a good depth of knowledge of the gear and we respond to emails quickly in working hours.
If you find that something you ordered from us is not right for you or has been ordered by mistake, feel free to return it to us for a full refund or exchange. Unfortunately we have to ask you to cover the cost of the return postage.
If you have received an incorrect, damaged or faulty item please return it to us by first class post and of course we will refund the cost of postage in this case. After you have sent it back to us, we can send you a replacement. Any damages or faulty items must be reported within 48hrs.

Your returns must be made using a tracked delivery service within 21 days of receipt of the item, they must be returned in their original packaging, accompanied with your receipt and in an unused condition. Please also include a reason for the return, and the description of any fault.
Please note that for international customers postage may be payable for replacement items.
Most of the products we sell are covered by a manufacturers warranty, which will cover the product for faults and defects. This period of cover can vary, most items will be 1 year, but it is worth remembering that warranties do not cover general wear and tear. If you have an issue with a product purchased from You Boat contact us first. Returned items with a warranty or repair issue should be clean and you will have to cover the postage cost back to us.
If at any stage you require the return postage to be reimbursed by us, this will be capped at £5.00 for items under 2kg.
You boat is a UK based company and we comply with UK Consumer law. This includes the Distance Selling Regulations, which give you the right to cancel an order and return any goods that may already have been dispatched up to 7 days from receipt. We want to make your online shopping experience as easy as possible, so our policy allows you to make a return up to 21 days from receipt.
Express orders made before 12pm on weekdays will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12pm on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. All subject to an item being in stock.
Our courier will only deliver on weekdays, so any next day service, refers to the next weekday, unless otherwise specified.
The YouBoat website is always being updated, but very occasionally some of our popular items may become out of stock. In such an event, you will be notified of a new dispatch date.
YouBoat has the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch.
Saturday delivery is only applicable to orders before 2pm on Fridays
Economy service refers to either Hermes or Royal Mail - which can sometimes take up to 3 working days after your purchase to arrive.
The free delivery promotion is valid on most items, but some are not eligible due to size and weight. It is down to YouBoat's discretion. Liquids or items over 2kg cannot be shipped for free to highlands or islands.
If a delivery is returned to us, because the courier was unable to deliver due to nobody being home, or business being closed after 2-3 attempts you will not be refunded your postage costs. If free postage was offered, you may be charged a discretionary re-stocking fee.
Paint/Liquids: Due to the nature of couriers and shipping, sometimes you may receive a tin that has been dented in transit. However if it is leaking, please report this within 12hours of delivery and we will organise a replacement. Tins that are dented but not leaking are not subject to refund.
Payments via PayPal
If you choose to return an item that was ordered by mistake, or you changed your mind, and you paid via PayPal then you will be refunded less 2% of the initial transaction amount.
This is due to a new PayPal policy in 2020 where transaction fees are not refunded to us when an order is cancelled or refunded. This also applies to orders that are cancelled prior to or during dispatch that have been paid via PayPal, as well as orders that have been returned due to a failed delivery.
Loyalty points can be earned through online purchases only, and can only be redeemed via online purchases. Points can not be used in store, nor can they be earned via in store purchases.
December 2020 Offer Terms
Throughout December 2020 YouBoat Marine are running an offer that will give each person that makes an online purchase between 1st December and 31st December a 5% discount code to be used against an online purchase* between 1st January and the 31st January 2021.
To qualify for the discount code, you must meet the below requirements:
- Have placed an order via the website www.youboatmarine.com before 23:59:59 on 31st December 2021
- Paid for the order before 23:59:59 on 31st December 2021
- Have registered the order using a valid email address
You will receive a discount code for each order placed throughout December. You will only be able to use 1 voucher code per order in January, it cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offers. The code will be sent to the email address connected with the December order; the order placed in January must match the email address used. If for whatever reason you are unable to use the same email address please make sure to contact us to let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
It is the customers responsibility to add the discount code to each order placed in January and cannot be amended/added after the order has been placed and paid for. If you start an order and cannot add the discount code for any reason, please contact a member of the team before you complete the payment. You will not be able to use the discount code if you cancel, return or are refunded for your December order. If a customer uses the discount code and then requires a refund for their December order then YouBoat reserves the right to offer a refund, as per the Returns Policy, less the discounted amount from the January order.
