Hempel Light Primer 2 Part Epoxy - All Sizes & Colours

• Touch dry after 6 hours (10℃ / 50℉)
• Touch dry after 3 hours (20℃ / 68℉)
• Hard dry after 12 hours (10℃ / 50℉)
• Hard dry after 6 hours (20℃ / 68℉)
• Surface dry after 14 days (10℃ / 50℉)
• Surface dry after 7 days (20℃ / 68℉)
• Ready to sand after 48 hours (20℃ / 68℉)

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, oil free and dry
• Clean with Degreaser or Surface Cleaner
• Stir all products well before use
• If overcoating times are exceeded, abrade the surface and wash off with fresh water

On a previously coated surface

• Abrade to remove loose matter and provide a suitable key
• Wash surface with fresh water and allow to dry
• Apply Epoxy Primer Undercoat as required, followed by the relevant topcoat / antifoul.

On a previously uncoated surface

• Prime porous surfaces with one coat of Epoxy Primer Undercoat thinned 20% with Thinners No.5
• Then apply 5 coats of Epoxy Primer Undercoat before applying the required topcoat / antifoul or tie coat
• Thinners can be added to assist application under certain conditions

You can use the Hempel Light Primer on all glass fibre, steel, aluminium and plywood boats. This light primer is for interior and exterior use, both above and below the waterline.

For uncoated surfaces below the waterlne, it is recommended to apply 3 to 5 coats. For uncoated surfaces above the waterline, it is recommended to apply 2 coats. Surfaces that have been coated previously only need 1 undiluted coat.
