Description

Mustang Survival’s Torrens Thermal Jacket is made from Polartec Alpha® insulation, a material originally developed for their military clients. It is an incredible thermoregulating fabric that provides great breathability, insulation and is quick-drying, meaning no chills from a wet mid-layer. Mustang has used body mapping technology to determine the thickness of insulation and where it is placed.

“We have a lab at our headquarters, and we looked at where you get cold on the body, where you need extra layers, so there’s extra thicknesses across different parts of the body. …Maybe you don’t need it as much under your armpits, but you need it more on the small of your back. This results in a lightweight mid-layer that strikes the balance between breathability and warmth just the way your body needs it. The jackets lofted fibres on the mesh core make it quick-drying. DWR outer shell repels moisture and thumbholes keep you snug and prevent the wind from getting in. Increased abrasion resistance reduces pilling for more durable wear over time.
